Bearing her Burdens

Jackie has asked that I provide an update, even though there is little to share.

Susan is still in critical condition. There has been no improvement in her status.

And even though she can't say it, I know that Susan has so much love in her heart for everyone who has come to visit, called, sent an email, or asked for an update. She loves everyone so much and is so grateful for all of you.

Please continue to visit at the hospital. Tell her how much she's impacted your life, and let her know that you are there for her. She wants to hear your voice in song and prayer. Tell her stories. Share a memory about times you spent together. Help lift her spirits and fight through this illness.

Susan would also want you to know that she is so grateful that you all are taking care of Jack, Joseph, Jackie, Chuck, Ben, and Susanna. She can focus on taking care of herself because you all are taking care of her family.

To borrow from Laura Handy: A week ago, Susan was walking in the forefront proclaiming the promises of God to her peers. Today, we are lifting her up in prayer and are willing to bear her burdens for her.

Please bear her burdens. Susan needs us now more than ever.
